Fava


Ingredients
½ kilo of fava beans1 large onionOlive oil - ½ cup½ teaspoon of turmeric½ teaspoon of curry powderSalt and pepper
Method
Wash the fava beans thoroughly and place them in a pot with half a litre of water to boil.Skim well and cook over low heat until the fava beans are soft and the water has reduced by half.Add the turmeric, curry powder, salt, and olive oil, and continue to cook until all the water has evaporated, leaving a thick mixture.Transfer to a blender and blend for a few minutes.Serve with chopped onion and a drizzle of olive oil, as desired.
